The Community of Neighborhood
Connections
is Your Link to Peace of Mind!

An annual Neighborhood Connections membership provides support services within the community to address the changing needs that occur with aging.

Having fun and working to maintain good health are vital goals. Neighborhood Connections finds ways of bringing people together at meetings, lectures, shopping expeditions, exercise classes, regularly scheduled social events and unique excursions.

Neighborhood Connections is a non-sectarian Program of JFS *

Welcome

Neighborhood Connections is a membership program just a phone call or email away to peace of mind and “your connection” to those things that matter to you - to keep you in your home and your neighborhood… because home is where your heart is!

How Did it Start?

The concept of Neighborhood Connections began as an idea from Sam Gordon, an active senior in a Worcester West Side neighborhood. Sam loved his home, his neighborhood and his independence. He was determined to stay put in the home that he loved. Sam, being a visionary and quite innovative, researched his ideas and sought the help of his community neighbors. After much more research, time and collaboration a NORC was born.

How Do We Do it?

We create Partnerships and seek out…

  • Seniors who want to be involved in the decisions that affect their lives and the lives of their family and friends;
  • Health and social service agencies for information and referrals;
  • Government agencies to insure we are current with our information;
  • Community leaders;
  • And explore the creation of sustainable funding from a variety of sources.

Neighborhood Connections is passionate about partnering with local businesses known in the community for providing quality of work and commitment to skilled and reliable services with trustworthy employees.

* JFS is a non-profit, non-sectarian agency
